Chicago Post #2

We did so much in Chicago that we had to split it up into TWO blog posts!

We headed down to Navy Pier where this HUGE Ferris Wheel is located. For those of you who don't know, the Ferris Wheel was first debuted in Chicago at the World's Fair of 1893. It was invented by none other than Mr. George Ferris.

This is Buckingham Fountain. It is HUGE. It is also very well known for being part of the opening credits of Married with Children.

After multiple recommendations we decided to go on the Chicago Architecture Boat Tour. It was incredible. This was one of my favorite buildings on the tour, the Chicago Tribune building. At the base, pieces of various significant and historical buildings are part of the building.

In the center left is a piece of the Taj Mahal!
You may recognize these towers from the cover of Wilco's "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot".

A couple other nice pictures of Chicago skyscrapers.

Eating in Chicago was pretty great also. We visited the famed Billy Goat Tavern that is found under the streets of Chicago. We ordered Cheeseburgers and chips and nothing else. Didn't want to start any trouble.

And finally, possibly our favorite meal of the entire trip, Chicago style pizza. We went to Gino's East and it was INCREDIBLE. We felt pretty awful afterwards but it was completely worth it.
Thats the end of our trip! We had an amazing time and we're really upset that its all over. Hopefully we'll get to do something like this again soon. Thank you to everyone who helped us along the way! You can stay with us if you're ever rolling through Baltimore or Boston or Cazenovia or wherever we may be.
