San Francisco: Part 2

We spent pretty much the entire day driving to and from Yosemite National Park unfortunately. We were about 5 miles away from entering the park when a pickup truck flipped over on the road up ahead and traffic was stopped for about an hour! We finally made it in and enjoyed some incredible scenery.

On the right hand side you can see "Half-Dome", which looks like exactly what it sounds like. The rock face is seemingly completely flat making it a tough climb.

Half-Dome to the left of my head.

I forget what this rock is called, probably something like "overhang rock", but it hangs over the Yosemite Valley and long long ago people were allowed to go out and stand on it! Not anymore. In the background is Yosemite Falls, which is the tallest waterfall in North America.

We drove down into the valley and took a short walk up to a smaller waterfall.
And we stuck around just long enough to begin to see the sunset! Ed tried to go frolicking in a meadow around this time only to find himself running through a camouflaged swamp. Unfortunately I was unable to capture this in time.
