Banff National Park: Alberta, Canada

We woke up bright and early to drive 2 hrs to Banff National Park from Calgary. It was the perfect time of year to go! The snow was melting off the mountains causing the rivers and waterfalls to be especially beautiful.

A river view at a rest stop! A black bear ran in front of the car! It was so cute!

Lake Moraine, the first lake we stopped at. The water was really that color! Probably one of the most beautiful places in the world!

Lake Louise, the second lake we stopped at.
We decided to take a trail that would bring us to Mirror Lake. It ended up being straight uphill the whole time, but was well worth it! We went past Mirror Lake and hiked up to a tea house right next to Lake Agnes. A group of people live on top of the mountain to run the tea house. It is located right next to a lake with a view of a waterfall. At the tea house... our view from the table!

yeah, nathan and sarah, this looks really great. I want to go to Canada, too. Was that water really that blue? It's probably super cold.

My mom and I just went over your entire blog. It's really shaping up to be a nice project.

The "old" country! The last time I was in Banff I went to the tea house as well! Apparently my great grandparents (Nathans' great great aunt and uncle?) stayed at the banff springs hotel for their honeymoon for $100.
