A view of the road on the Blue Ridge Parkway:
Another view from the road:
Bluegrass musicians at the Blue Ridge Parkway Music Center. The guy on the right is the lead producer and record label owner of traditional Blue Ridge Mountain music. They had rocking chairs set up that the audience(just Nathan and I) sat in that overlooked the mountains.
Here is a video of them perfoming!
We arrived in Knoxville at around 8:00pm and had a quick dinner with Mrs. Elston (Nathan's Aunt) and Melissa (Nathan's cousin). They have an adorable dog named Max, a golden retriever mix, and two long-haired cats.
Later in the evening we met up with my friend Helen who is doing Americorps in Knoxville for the year. She took us to the Sunsphere, market square, and a cereal bar. Apparently it's the new popular thing to pay $3 for an empty bowl and to have unlimited cereal. The girl at the counter fills you up with milk and you're good to go. Nathan plans to open one in Baltimore when he returns home.
